Reliance JIO:- Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries headquartered in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra that provides wireless 4G LTE service network (without 2G/3G-based services). The Jio services were commercially launched on 5th September 2016.

JIO Sim Not Working:- Recently the founder of Reliance JIO Mukesh Ambani launched the plans of JIO on affordable rates, so that every user can enjoy the JIO services. But, there are also some issues which are facing by the JIO users. The problems below are for 4G device users.

Problems occur on JIO Sim:-

  1. SIM not Recognised:- If you are facing this problem then may be you have inserted your SIM in 2nd slot, Because in many Dual-sim phones, the 1st slot is compatible for 4G services. Therefore, change your sim from 2nd slot to 1st slot and restart your phone.
  2. SIM Recognised but No Signal:- Ensure that in the network settings are all good and that you have opted the SIM 1 as your primary SIM for data. Ensure that the phone is set to work with LTE Network. You can do so by:-
  • Go to Settings > Mobile Networks > Preferred network type.
  • If required, set the APN to Loop Internet.

This is accessible only if Jio SIM is getting recognised in your phone. To check this:-

  • Go to Settings > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
  • Try choosing Jio as network operator manually by going to Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Operators.
  • If it still doesn’t work, chances that it might have some software or hardware incompatibility in your phone.
  1. SIM working but no calls:-

Install the Jio Join app from Google Play Store. This will most likely fix the issue. Although, the app currently doesn’t seem to work on Android Nougat, in case you have that software on your phone.

  1. Not able to access Internet:- If you are not able to access your internet it might that your internet setting is disturbed. Manually set your JIO internet setting:-
  • Go to Access Point Names under Jio sim.
  • Reset default APN settings..
  • Select the default APN {create new if no apn is there} and edit as follows:

Name: internet

APN: jionet

And leave other options as it is.

Now wait until Volte appears on top bar (basically, now you can make calls but, now internet will be working even with mobile data switched off, to correct that do following:) .

Also you can check the video on how to set up jio network in your mobile.
